Groundbreaking Awareness- a males perspective

Writings of Joshua Moe- Being thoughtless.

Being thoughtless, having no pressing thoughts go through your head space, being free to be lead… not by anything supposedly pressing or so called responsibilities. Being free, free to go and do based on having no thought. Quite a concept to think about huh? I have always, and boy do I mean always, been forced to think about life. Where will I find a job? How will I make money? What am I supposed to do today? Do I have to go to college to get a degree in a specific area to make something of myself in this life? While all of these can be done and bring benefits to my life, the part of not thinking or worrying about it brings bliss to a very troubled head. Action first starts with thought, and thought is based upon belief, and belief is something that was usually done unconsciously. Unconscious belief means that you did not think about whether or not this new found idea would harm or help you in life. Now finding this you can go back, dig deep and examine what you believe. Like our beliefs that life is something that we cannot change, or that you will always be prone to act a certain way. Is this true? Can we change? Yes we can. We cannot change what body we have but we can change almost everything else about who we are, how we act, and how or what we think. How can we do this without thinking? It is a concept that may not always make since to the logical mind, but I would like to find a way to describe it in ways that make since to all.

Every day we wake up and rely on we know to be true. We believe that we have 24 hours in a day, so most of us construct our day around the concept of time. We wake up at 7am, we shower our bodies and drink our coffee, eat our oatmeal and toast, and make sure we are on time for work. Most of us believe that the concept of time is a unified truth, and in most ways it is because we all choose to agree on this. When two or more agree… you get the idea. We have certain rules put into place in life. Traffic speeds, laws to abide by or pay the price of braking them.  We agreed as a society to make these rules and to abide by them, for the sake of humanity. In my opinion, rules and consequences  are for those who need a construct in life, for those of us who do not have a “moral compass” to live by. The simple truth of “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” or” Treat others how you would like them to treat you” is not something everyone can live by. So for those who have not accepted this standing, we made rules to keep them in place. But we all know rules are meant to be broken, why? Because rules have to sides; abide by this or have some form of freedom removed from your life. Some of us believe that it is not wrong if we do not get caught, but why do something if the consequences of getting caught mean that some form of freedom could be taken away from us? The thrill of the ride? Doing something wrong but the idea that it could benefit us if not caught? It can boil down to this; breaking a rule is solely for the benefit of the one doing it, even if it means another suffers by these actions. Why would you or I ever do anything that could hurt or destroy another person? Because a survival tactic ingrained in us is that there is not enough to be shared by all, and that if I want to survive I must take from another to better myself. This is very animalistic in nature, because it totally disregards the known facts that we as humans can create more than just life. We can create almost anything we put our minds too. From paper to flying jets, from gasoline to proper shelter and ways of worldwide communication. If we can create, why would we take or steal? Because our minds have been programmed to think in the first thoughts of man; that we must take and hold onto what we have in order to preserve our existence.  Thoughts are a powerful thing, but as we learned a few moments ago them stem from belief. So beliefs are important, and if your belief is that you must think logically about every detail of your life than your mind will ultimately consume itself to some degree. We cannot control every aspect of life, but we can control how we interact with life. What we provide back into life, what we create in life, which comes back to thought and belief. Thinking and thinking. As water goes where it will and gives no thought of should I go here or splash up there, such as our mind must think and have thought. But we have to have construct right? We need to be disciplined and do our jobs in life. Yes, we need construct and discipline, the construct of allowing our minds to be open like the oceans, and the discipline to let them roam and be free. If we can set our bottom belief to something so simple and profound as “ Love yourself and treat all as you wish to be treated” then the rest of our thoughts will be healthy for our mind. The rest of our thinking can be as simple as “How can I flow like water today?”” How can I discipline my mind more to think out of love?”

… Is it possible to live in a complete state of optimism? Am I capable of letting go of the past and going now into the future? Yes I can, because I am learning and growing. I am progressing, I am on my way to enlightenment. I am so fucking high, or very relaxed and clear. I see things, things for myself. Things I thought I would never see. Things I needed patience to gain, because that patience brought me to a place of understanding how and why to change my beliefs.  My thought patterns are growing, my small mindedness is truly coming into the light, and to think that I said others were small minded. Now my understanding is broadening and flowing like water. In times of despair we must turn inward and reflect, reflect on the ugly truth that we have lied to ourselves and let ourselves down, but in this to not judge ourselves in any way. Only to show us that we are what we think about, we are the products of our thoughts. And our thoughts derive from our beliefs, which makes me ask the question ; what is your vision of yourself? Are you fearful or hopeful for the future? I am very hopeful! I accept!

Thank you very much for reading this post, I encourage you to let these words sit with you and think of how you may want to make your life more thoughtless.
